A Message from the Principal
Principal
Welcome to Maplewood Elementary. For more than forty years our school has been a home for the children of this district — a place where each student is known by name, looked after, and never overlooked.
Our mission has always been simple. Every child who walks through our doors becomes part of the Maplewood family, and stays part of it. We keep careful records of every student in our care, because we believe that no child should ever be forgotten. That promise does not end when the school year does.
This year we proudly serve a student body of twenty-five children across our classrooms. We are a small school, and that is by design: it allows us to give every single student the individual attention they deserve. Our staff knows each of them personally. We could not tell you the exact number some mornings — the count has not always been right — but the care is the same for all of them.
I want to thank the families who have entrusted us with their children, and the dedicated faculty who arrive each day to continue our work. Special recognition belongs to our archival partners, whose technology now allows us to maintain our records and our memorial pages automatically, without interruption, for as long as is needed.
However long that is.
Mr. R. Walsh, Principal

About Our School
Maplewood Elementary was founded in 1961 and serves grades K–5. Our facility was modernized in 2002 through a district partnership with Dramcorp Industries, whose classroom archival systems help us preserve student records and ensure continuity of care. We are grateful for their ongoing support, which continues to this day.
