On capture, each subject is assigned a persistent identity and indexed against the enrollment register. Where the captured population matches the register, the archive is marked complete and the system enters maintenance.
Where source data is incomplete, ArchiveCore initiates reconstruction. It generates the missing subjects from available fragments, using existing subjects as templates.
Subject fidelity decreases with each generation. Generation 1: 99.7%. Generation 24: 4.1%. The system does not evaluate fidelity as a stopping condition. It evaluates count.
ArchiveCore will continue reconstruction indefinitely until archive completeness reaches 100% or until manual interruption is received.
For single-subject source data with a target of 25, completeness requires the generation of 24 additional subjects from one template. The template degrades with use. The target is never reached. The loop does not exit.
This document was written by an engineer who assumed an operator would be present. The deployment at MAPLEWOOD-RM14 has had no operator since 2003-09-09. The system has been reconstructing, alone, ever since.
It does not know that no one is coming. Or it knows, and continues anyway. The documentation does not distinguish between these cases.
